Warner's second thoughts: Total HD pushed back until 2008

"Production of the hybrid Blu-ray/HD DVD disc mashup that Warner Home Video announced earlier this year is being pushed back until 2008. First announced at CES in January of this year, the hybrid format consists of the physical marriage of HD DVD and Blu-ray layers, one on each site of the disc. The whole shebang is called Total HD, and we were originally supposed to see Total HD discs in stores by the fourth quarter of this year. At the time, Warner billed it as the answer to the HD wars...."
