James Castle: Portrait of an Artist

Foundation for Self Taught American Artists (FSTAART, Philadelphia, PA) came to Cubist Media Group to develop an exhibition-quality delivery system for their documentary, James Castle: Portrait of an Artist, playing at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, as part of an exhibit lauding Castle’s work.

To create the best visitor experience, FSTAART and Cubist designed a custom Blu-ray loop to take full advantage of the format’s high quality video and audio. 

During the exhibition’s three-month run, the disc played every hour, throughout the day, providing a durable medium of exhibition and showcasing this artist's work to over 30,000 visitors.

Cubist continues to serve as a resource for independent filmmakers and museum exhibitors from around the country.
